Does the job of needing a formal dress
Dress color is a nice vibrant blue, very slightly darker than picture but still bright. Fit is flowy. The top is big bust friendly, I normally wear an X-large in formal wear/ large regular because of my bust but in this dress I could have sized down to large. Back is not as flattering, smooth back all the way to the neck but very full coverage. Bottom portion looks good from behind and does not cling to stomach. Length was perfect. For reference, I am 38D, 5”2 180lbs. If you need a more “affordable” gown, it gets the job done, it will be my back up dress. Agree it can be boxy if you are not as curvy.

This dress is very overpriced!
The fit was bizarre, all boxy, with absolutely no shape or definition to separate the top from the bottom portion. The fabric was meh at best. Definitely was not worth the $75ish dollars it cost!
