Not kind on toes
Love Magnanni and have 5 pairs of their dress shoes. These boots are absolutely studying in person; however, there is a fatal design flaw. The dry bottom inner shoelace loop on the left shoe has a rivet on the inside that is misplaced and may dig into your toe. So as you step the rivet digs into your foot causing noticeable bruising and pain. I have tried different weight socks and even exchanged the boots, but alas I always get a bruise on my left big toe. Wanted to love them as they are easily the most complimented shoe I own, plus they are water resistant!

Comfortable but laces are too long and too thick.
The boot itself is very comfortable. But the boot laces are wayyyy too long and maybe even a bit too thick, which makes tucking them uncomfortable and somewhat painful. Part of the boot's appeal ARE the laces so changing them out now takes away from that initial appeal.

I discovered these boots about 8 years ago while in NYC at the new men’s store. They were on the clearance rack ( lol, they were 80.00 off🤦🏼♂️) the green, yellow, brown patina just really caught my eye. What i found out after a long holiday weekend in december was that they were the most comfortable pair of boots i’ve ever owned. I immediately started wearing them to work and wore them as far into summer as i could. The cushion and stability they provided my super flat feet after a 10+ hour day as a chef was extraordinary! while wearing them to work, didn’t help protect the beautiful leather, they held up really well and am still wearing them to work every day. I have purchased 4 additional pairs in various finishes and they have all preformed amazingly. they polish up beautifully and break in gracefully. my only regret was not buying a blue pair they had a couple years back… 🤦🏼♂️🤌
Visited their new Flagship boutique in Paris this summer and could have spent a fortune on all the great shoes.. but i’m a boots and wagoneer kinda guy. i’ve paid 3 times more for shoes i hate even admitting i purchased. Just ordered the Tinto (red) version yesterday, can’t wait to get them on my feet! happy holidays!!

High Stepping in Style
Nice boots. Always wanted these but too expensive at the regular price. Soft leather and lightweight. More of a city boot than an actual hiking boot but you could use it that way. Sizing was true to size for me based on European sizing 41.5.

Great Magnanni Boot!
I came across a review here that claimed this boot doesn't excel as a stylish hiking boot, but I respectfully disagree. It might not be the ideal choice for rugged mountain treks with serious rock encounters, but it certainly serves as a reliable city hiking boot with a touch of trail capability. I wouldn't recommend wearing these in extreme winter conditions like Iceland or Russia, but they are perfect for a leisurely stroll through the city or on intermediate trails.
These boots lean more toward fashion than hardcore hiking, but they do offer the advantages of being lightweight and exceptionally comfortable, as is characteristic of all Magnanni footwear. It's worth noting that for minor scuffs, Magnanni offers a polish kit tailored to the shoe's color, which can effectively conceal those little imperfections.
