Perfect Fit for Me
I am 5' 7", 155 lbs, typically a size 28 or 6, and these happened to fit perfectly for me. I also have a very high natural waist, and these do actually hit my natural waist, so if you are on the shorter side the high rise might be TOO high for you. I don't find that they run small, per other reviews, but maybe there is variation within the sizes?

waist gap
I have three pair of madewell jeans in a size 28, but these are higher with a huge waist gap. I actually like how high they are but the waist gap is pretty insane - I’m returning.

not for curvy girls
These were super unflattering on me. I’m 5’5”, 155, and pear shaped, purchased a size 30. These were very “mom” Jean style and i guess that just doesn’t work for my body type. Going to return.

not consistent sizing
These jeans were a mess! I normally wear a 28 in Madewell vintage jeans. I ordered the 28 and I couldn’t even zipper them! They don’t fit at all like my other Madewell vintages! I returned and ordered the 29 and after one wear they stretched so much they looked terrible. The material is way stiffer than usual too.

Not for curvy girls
I LOVE madewell jeans, and have so many of them, so it hurts my heart to rate these so low. I ordered my usual 25, but they were just too tight, so I ordered them in 26 and they fit in the legs and hips but were HUGE in the waist. If you have a straight figure, these are the jeans for you, if you have curves at all in your lower half, I just can not recommend.

Runs large - ignore instructions to size up
These jeans were absolutely huge on me. I normally wear a 27/28 and therefore ordered a 29 because the instructions said they run small. That was so wrong. they're also not flattering for anyone with curves. Returning ASAP.
