Classic Black Jeans

Wanted to love these
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately, these jeans just weren’t a favorite for me. The denim felt way too stiff and uncomfortable, and I really didn’t love the wash. They started fading after just the first two washes, which was really disappointing.I wanted to love these, but between the stiff fabric, and how quickly they faded, I wouldn’t repurchase them.

Too large in the thighs
I bought these, hoping they would fit like the model. I found that they are less straight and too baggy. I waanted something that fit better in the thighs and were a little smaller throughout the leg. No such luck.

Great Jeans!

Faded horrible
I love this style of jeans and how they fit my body but they faded horribly I’m a fan of true black jeans but these were not it and was disappointed especially for the price I paid

Weird Sizing
I am almost always a size 26 or 27 in jeans. This size 27 was too big around the waist and way too short. I am about 5'7" tall and weigh 128 lb. A smaller waist size would still be too short, but a longer pair of jeans would be way too wide in the waist. This is a conundrum.

Madewell Longline Straight Jean, Black Frost
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this jean on on a bit of whim, and was pleasantly surprised by the fit and quality of the denim. I did need to go down a size from my usual size in jeans. The length is perfect; for reference, I am between 5'4" and 5'5." The legs are not super fitted, which makes them very comfortable.

Don’t buy unless you never wash them!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great looking jeans, very nice fit, but everything changed after washing. I followed the instructions exactly and they came out weirdly wrinkled and faded after one wash. U fortunately, ironing didn’t help. Really disappointing since I’ve never had this problem with any other Madewell jeans.

Classic black jean
Very happy with these jeans. Not too tight through the leg and the 'magic pockets' do seem to make me feel a little slimmer - always a bonus!. They have a nice stretch but don't bag out by the end of the day. Easy to dress up or down.
