Runs small in the waist
I wear Madewell pants size 10/29 and usually the waist is a little large on them, for both jeans and for pleated pants with high waists.
These shorts have a very similar cut to the Harlow dress pants -- except that the waist in the shorts is a good 1.5 inches smallerthan the pants. The rise and hips are generous and fit similar to regular size 10/29 by Madewell.
If the Madewell pants are usually too big in the waist, then these are for you!

The quality is very poor. I washed it once, and the stitching started coming apart. The color changed completely after just one wash. It looks like a cheap, secondhand pair of shorts. I’m very disappointed with the quality.
