DESTROYED IN WASH!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] DO NOT WASH!! I washed it alone in cold water and the sweater fell apart. I only got to wear it once. Apparently it is dry clean only, which is in the tiniest text on the back side of the tag. They should have that in big letters or advertise it as such. I’m devastated. That’s a lot of money for one wear.

This sweater is great for spring or fall, when the weather's a little cool but not freezing, and that color really pops. It works great whether you layer a turtleneck under it or a lightweight button-up. But there's a small catch. Since it's made of alpaca material, you really have to be careful when washing it. Don't use hot water, stick with cold, or the delicate cycle in a laundry bag. I actually bought one before, but I didn't pay attention to those details and completely ruined the whole sweater. But, when they had a sale, I bought another one. And the second time, I didn't have that problem. The other color also looks really nice, so I ended up getting two colors in total. Honestly, Madewell's quality and designs are really great.

Beautiful color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the color and simple fit of this sweater. It’s chic and effortless. Once I washed it and laid it flat to dry it isn’t as soft and the shape isn’t exactly what it was when I purchased it. That’s the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5

Beautiful color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a beautiful sweater. I couldn’t decide between the light blue and magenta but ended up getting magenta. I bought my usual size and it fits nicely, slightly oversized but not in an unflattering way. The fabric is very soft (not itchy at all, and I’m very sensitive to that) and warm. I do think the fabric will likely pill with wear but that’s to be expected with this fabric makeup.
