Smell awful. Do not buy these.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Don’t buy these. The chemical smell on them is impossible to get rid of. I’ve literally washed them 5 times now and the smell is still there, too the point where these are just going in the trash. I used to love madewell, but I see they have gone cheap and are cutting corners like every other company these days. Sad…

LOVE the fit BUT
These fit me perfectly-a nice change from skinny jeans. For me, this is the perfect slim straight opening at the bottom. What I realize this morning (wearing them) is that the back pocket is so huge the bottom of the pocket literally goes under my butt cheek--so strange and now that I've looked at myself at work, I realize it looks so odd. Not sure if this is an imperfection on this pair or not. I have stovepipe skinny and don't particularly notice this huge back pocket. I really am disappointed because the stovepipe high waist fit is my perfect fit.

Great jeans, awful smell
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these jeans, the cut is extremely flattering even for someone with no butt, they smooth and enhance all the right parts, and are very comfortable. But the smell! I've been wearing and washing them for two months now, and they still give off unpleasant dye fumes. First time this has happened with Madewell jeans, it's a real bummer.

Great fit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These jeans are true to size, and the regular length works well for my 5'6" height. I bought the size I wear most often in other brands. The jeans are slightly stretchy. The description says mid rise, but then says high rise when you add them to your bag. I find them to be more high rise than mid rise.
