This is the same high quality Jean you expect with Madewell. They are thick yet have a good amount of stretch to flatter the tummy and tush. I had not tried a barrel or ballon Jean yet and found these to be very comfortable, high quality and flattering. They will suck in your waist. I usually have to size down with Madewell compared to other brands. I’m typically at 30/31 10/12 and I bought these in a 30. They do stretch a little as you wear them so I recommend sizing down.
