Gingham V-Neck Wool Blend Vest Minidress

I tried size 8 and 10 but for 34DDD chest, only 10 worked but the hips were huge. The dress is cute and lined, great quality. Unfortunately I had to return.

BUT I WAS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING MORE CASUAL!

Nice thick material and fully lined. My issue is that it's sort of shapeless and runs very large. I'm a size 4 , 5'8 and 135lbs and the size small was too big

I am usually a size 4 but needed to size down to a size 2 in this. If you are larger than a c cup, I wouldn’t recommend sizing down as the buttons just barely closed over my chest in the 2, but it fit better everywhere else. I’m five feet and so will get this shortened by pulling up the straps at the top, as this is lower cut than I like. This was worth the cost because I got it on sale and I love the pattern. I’ve seen many other similar styles around, but in solids. I never find Madewell to be as high quality as the price suggests, just in terms of fabric. It is very light weight and it is lined, but still thin over all.

I love this dress and tried it in both a 10 and 12 - normally wear an 8 or 10, but I know Madewell normally runs small across the chest for me. This dress was no exception, the 10 fit my body great but was snug across my 36D chest, and the 12 was baggy in the body and still too tight in the chest. I love the dress so much that I might take it to a tailor to see if there’s anything they can do, otherwise I’ll be returning.
