Drawstring Linen Shorts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm moving to the tropics so stocking up on linen, and these shorts are going to be a staple I can tell! The waist is snug and the rest of the shorts are airy. I got my usual size, and ordered a second pair on sale. They'll be great for the beach, or just running errands, even a lunch out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't like wearing shorts that much, but I'm very pleased with these. The legs are a good length and not too wide. I have a long torso and the rise on these is sufficiently high that I can easily tuck in my shirt and have it stay there without constant adjustment. Sizing is mostly TTS, but I'd recommend rounding up if you're between sizes, especially if you have a smaller waist to hip ratio; the shorts are cut fairly straight through the rise. By measurements I'm between a 0 and 2 and the XS were a little difficult to get over the hips. Meanwhile the S fit easily but are loose in the waist, so it's a good thing the shorts have the drawstring as the looseness does not impact the look. Finally, the Henna colour is gorgeous, and I wish Madewell would make more trousers in this shade, which would be great for fall. It actually looks a little more brown in person than it does on the website, giving it a very nice earthy, reddish tone that pairs well with more colours than I thought.
