These are SUPER cute on and the denim is medium weight. You can wear these all year long with wedges or boots. I listened to the girlies in the reviews and sized down to a 26 and *chef’s kiss* Perfection!

Big Disappointment
These shorts are gigantic in the waist, leaving a massive gap in the back. They do not taper in at all. The Madewell brand is rarely a good fit. But because the style is so popular, I thought I would try these. Huge waste of time and big disappointment.

Don't like the style
I thought these culottes would be good for showing off high boots. Which they do. However they are not flattering on me although I am tall and they fell to the right length. The legs are pretty wide (wider than I thought) and make a flapping sound as you move. I ended up with a narrower leg culotte from Frame which Nordstrom did not carry. FYI- I usually take a 32, but in these I sized down to a 31 based on the reviews, which was the correct size. Seemed good quality.

Order a size down! These run large. I had to return my first pair, but they’re so cute that I wanted to order a size down to try again. Even the second size is “generous.”
I usually buy a size 12; I am keeping a size 10.
