Start with the negative: yes, it runs small. One full size, and if your foot is wide, 1.5 sizes too small. Size up!! I usually wear a 10.5 or 11,. The 11 was too short, and the pointed toe didn't work. Went up to a 12! Yikes!! The boot shaft comes to approx two inches above my ankle bone, and yes the leather is stiff. The circumference of my boot at the ankle is 10 inches and I have plenty of room, but it's not large or sloppy. Beautiful grey color, no hint of yellow, and wonderful, modern solid heel. They aren't quite dark enough for charcoal grey, but will work for some items. At the price point, don't skip these and have fun!

I had to return this boot after sizing up half a size based on comments. Normally wear a 9, ordered a 9.5, felt like my foot was going to have a permanent point when I took the boot off. Sized up to a 10 and they are perfect! Extremely comfortable, excellent cool-toned grey, stable heels for walking, almost no break-in once you get the right size. Would recommend.

I purchased size 5 in stone. It runs small which fits perfect because I usually wear a 4 or 4 1/2 rich is hard to find, and usually not many choices to choose from. I’m just disappointed that the stitching on the left boot on the outer edge rubs against my leg, which makes me limp every time I wear it. I can only wear it now when I am wearing leggings under it. I have taped the spot where the stitching comes together at the seams and it still hurts every step I take. The color is beautiful and I love the Pointy toe. I have an old black pair that I purchased years ago from the same brand same pointy toe. I had problems walking with it in the beginning, but now that the leather has softened and gives when I walk, I don’t have a problem anymore.

This is a classy boot, and decent quality for the price. It's weirdly difficult to find a boot in grey leather, so I was happy when I came across these. But the sizing is absolutely bananas. For the foot, I needed to go a full size up. But the calf circumference is insane -- it's the size of a bracelet! Literally 6.5 inches to go around your lower calf. I can't even zip these halfway up. What are they thinking?
