Lucy High Waist Wide Leg Jeans

So far, I really like these "jeans" and plan to keep them but I have major issues with how they're marketed on here. First, they aren't denim, so they shouldn't be called jeans at all. They are more of a twill-like heavier stretchy cotton fabric and they run a little small (I'm between a 6 and an 8 and can usually go with either size but I definitely wouldn't fit in the size 6 for these). I was really hoping for denim for its durability and warmth during cooler fall and winter days. Second, there is nothing "high" waist about them. Maybe they're high waist if you're used to wearing low rise but these are mid-rise, at best. The top of the waistband falls about half an inch below my belly button. That being said, they are good pants and are very comfortable (I can sit crossed legged on the floor in them) and would work well for weekends and casual Fridays at work.

I'm a petite, but I ordered these anyway, knowing I could wear them with boots. The waist was too high for me, which I expected, but I could have gotten away with it if the buttons weren't so shiny and obvious!! If all the hardware had been black, I might have kept these. Pockets are very large too, so if you want that emphasis on your bum, then you might like these. Returning.

These are super stretchy soft jeans and a great deep dark black so they can easily be dressed up. They run true to size but because of high stretch and being I am normally between sizes and went with my smaller size and they are perfect. The length is perfect as a full length jean with a heel or boot for us shorter gals (I’m 5’2”), but because of the dark black color you don’t notice the slouch as much even with a tennis shoe so still works fine and do not touch the ground. I also love love love that’s these aren’t super high waisted. They fit me at a normal waist which is what I prefer. Once again, I’m petite so might be an issue for a longer torso seeking a true high waist. Either way, I love them and think you will too, especially if you are on the petite side.
