Carlisle Penny Loafer (Women)

Have a few of these.. I love the look and comfort HOWEVER I ordered a 8.5 and the left was 8.5 and perfect but the right was marked 8.5 but was definitely a 9. Wouldn’t stay on my foot (the right side) I measured them and the right was longer. Back they went . 2 of the three of this brand just this time that I purchased had to go back for bad/mis sizing. I think it’s hit or miss. I might order another pair but I’m just not sure.

There are really great shoes for the price. The color is true to the image for the TAN color. From the nicely padded insole (no arch support), to the look of the shoe and the upper leather used, I cannot speak highly enough about this shoe. They are a medium weight (not heavy). They are very comfortable...if you can find a size that works for you. My foot measures a true size 7 medium (US) / 37.5 (eu) / 23.5cm / 9.25" in. I wear Birkenstock in 37 med/narrow. I wear size 7 in Tory Burch sandals and 7.5 in closed toe shoes (my preference) for reference. I heard these ran long and narrow. I first bought the 7.5 thinking I could add a wool insole pad if needed. The shoes were an inch too long and I couldn't keep them on even with a wool insole pad. The width was fine for me but I had to exchange them for a size 7. The 7 was too small. My foot fit inside with barely 4mm to spare however the toe area was too narrow and rubbed against my large toe. Sadly I had to return these too. There is a substantial size difference between the sizes in length (almost an 1 inch). Depending on the shape of your toes and foot, these may work for you. While they are not narrow, they are on the slim side of medium in width. They are a beautiful and comfortable if you can find a size that works.
