My first Frye, at phenomenal price
I wanted to try Frye brand outside of a cowboy boot, and as a final sale the price I got was phenomenal. I love clog or mule as easy to wear year round. The leather is as good as it gets, thick, smoother and likely to wear for a long time. Previous reviews direct from Frye note it runs big. It does. I'm a true 9.5 US, and this purchase is a 9. The construction of the sole to to top of shoe, integrating the leather stacked heel is solid and very substantial. Again, clearly very well made. Now fit is a little harder. I have a good arch and yet my foot between arch and top of foot is pretty flat. I don't wear socks much and never in summer. The fit across the foot is a shade loose and with a 2" + heel, it can slip. I've added a leather arch 'spot' that gives me a better catch as I'm walking. Snug at toe but should ease with good leather over time.
