Ruin very easily
These shoes are really nice, but they can be ruined really easy. I only got to wear them a few times. I packed them in my suitcase and I guess something damp was touching one of my shoes in a small spot. It turned the leather white in about a 1 inch spot. They cost too much money to ruin that easily.

Looks great, odd fit
I tried multiple sizes and just could not get this to feel comfortable. They were simultaneously much too tight around the toes yet slipping on the heels. Looks great, so it’s a shame it didn’t work out.

A fine classic driver
A seemingly well-made classic driver. The comfort is by omission rather commission -- excellent fit, but no padding or cushioning of any kind, more like a classic boat shoe than the comfort styles J&M often has. Leather quality seems good and the burnished finish quite elegant. Note that there is a woven decorative accent on the inner side of each shoe that is not visible in the photos.

I’ve purchased many J&M loafers / dress shoes over the years. I’ve enjoyed the look, durability, and comfort of this brand. Prices are reasonable. I’ve noticed these shoes run long, I typically down 1 size. Nevertheless, I will forever be a J&M customer.
