These shoes are fantastic! Usually I know within a couple of hours of trying on a pair of shoes if they are are going to stay or not - and for this pair, I had no doubts! Next couple days, I wore them and found that I had made the right decision. Unlike what somebody had stated these to be US-made in a convo thread, these are made in Vietnam. Walking on hard floor did not cause them to make weird noises either, as was stated by another reviewer in the thread. These are my first pair of J&M and I wish I had found them earlier. The shoes are comfortable and I could wear them all day long. There is an understated elegance in the looks - real leather, embossed, matching shoelace color, and soles that are with you on a grueling day on your feet. Casual? Check! Semi-formal? Check! Lightweight? Oh, yes! Comfortable? You bet!
