Wrap Midi Skirt

I have a small waste with larger hips/butt. I’m usually a medium in skirts, but this skirt tan very small and did not wrap properly. It ended up showing way more skin than I would have preferred at the opening of the skirt. On me it created quite the slit, whereas on the model the wrap portion covers her legs completely.

Maybe I was sent a wrong item, but other Go Couture skirts are labelled "faux wrap" and this one is just called wrap. I thought it would be a true wrap skirt, but it is elastic waist and step in and also much shorter in length than this picture shows. I returned it to the local store, and am returning a second item I bought at the same time that was ALSO not as described. I won't buy from this online site again, which is too bad.
