Sheds non stop
I purchased the Merlot chenille blanket and it must not be woven correctly and it sheds and can’t be used . Images to follow . I hope manufacture sees this and looks into this.

The Merlot Chenille Throw Blanket is indeed woven correctly. Chenille is a plush, delicate yarn that offers incredible softness, but due to its fuzzy texture, some initial shedding is to be expected. This will reduce significantly with proper care.
As stated in the care instructions, we recommend:
Machine washing alone on a gentle cycle with cold water,
Avoiding the dryer, and
Hang drying the blanket to maintain its quality and minimize shedding.

Do Not Buy
Don’t buy if you plan on washing. I followed the instructions and washed delicate with two pillow cases and another throw and it literally disintegrated in the wash. I put then other stuff in the dryer and because there was so much left over chenille it almost started a fire in my dryer.

Thank you for your review. We do need to clarify an important point here, because the situation described would only occur if the care instructions were not followed. Our chenille throw blankets are explicitly labeled to be washed alone, on a delicate cycle, and hang dried. Washing the blanket with other items, including pillowcases or additional throws, creates friction that will damage the delicate chenille fibers.
Chenille is intentionally soft and textured, which also makes it more sensitive than standard fabrics. When it is washed with other items or exposed to improper drying, the fibers can break down exactly as described. This is not a defect in the product, but the result of improper laundering.
For future customers, it is critical to follow the care instructions exactly to maintain the integrity and safety of this blanket
