Smocked Waist Maxi Cover-Up Skirt

I’m 5 feet 5 inches tall and 111 pounds. I ordered a white in size small. The problem is the length. This is a very inexpensive skirt for the beach and at my height I would need to get it shortened about 4-5 inches. It’s dragging on the ground. The value of the skirt is not worth alterations. It’s also definitely see-through. Ok for a beach cover-up but not as a skirt. It’s also horribly wrinkly. I’m returning it. My waist is 25 inches and the waistband just fits. It is stretchy but I’d size up to medium if you are over 27 or 28 inches.

This skirt is comfortable and the elastic makes it fit and flatter the waist. Fun swooshy fabric!

I normally am a small or xs in Elan. This was so tight in the waist it fit like xxs. For reference I’m 5’3 118lbs. Returning.

Fit really well true to size

I purchased this sheer black skirt cover-up to pair with a black bikini, and I was immediately drawn to its elegant design. I especially appreciated that it does not have a slit, which is surprisingly hard to find. The subtle detailing at the waist and the beautiful movement of the fabric made it feel much more special than a typical cover-up. I usually wear an XS/24 denim, but this style ran much smaller than expected. The waistband felt quite tight, to the point that it would have left marks on my skin. At 5’0”, I also would have needed to shorten the length, which is common for me. Unfortunately, I decided to return it because of the fit. That said, the design is truly lovely, and the way the fabric flows when walking is very graceful. I was disappointed that the sizing did not work for me, as this is a unique and beautifully designed piece.

It was a shock to me to find out on my receipt that this was a final sale. The clerk who checked me out, did not mention it there was no notification on the price tag, and I didn’t realize it was final sale until I looked at my online receipt. This is unacceptable.
