Beautiful dress
So this was a beautiful dress that I had my eye on and bought when it went on clearance. It wasn’t the normal overly sequined Dress the Population style, it was a metallic sheen fabric, and very pretty. I’m about usually anywhere between 103-105 lb depending on the day, and 5’4” - and I got the XXS size. I ended up deciding to return this dress and it wasn’t a difficult decision - but I would have had to have it hemmed considerably and I wasn’t confident any of the tailors I’m aware of could do a nice job because this is supposed to train out a bit in the back. Also it has a one should style and this dress has a shoulder pad - which sat awkwardly.. I would definitely have had to have it removed — it gave the impression one shoulder was much higher than the other like a should hump. That would be an easy fix —but the side had a side zip and a hook closure as well as a little side boning - and it just stuck out a little away from my torso so it wouldn’t lay flat. Maybe that could also be fixed but it started to seem like a big project and ultimately I was probably just a little too narrow torso for this dress which is supposed to be very fitted in the upper body…. I still have second thoughts because it was such a pretty dress.
