Sloane Sleeveless Sheath Dress

I bought this in white hoping to wear it as a wedding dress for my second marriage backyard ceremony. It wouldn't zip over my chest. For reference, I am 5' 9 1/2" and weigh 152 lbs. My bust measurement is 40". The size chart for Dress the Population says that a size large should fit a bust of 39-40.5 inches, so it should have been perfect, but it was way too small. My waist is actually a little thicker, but it fit fine there, and the hips were loose (I have 38" hips). The length was also not great, in my opinion. It hit me right at the thickest part of my calves, which isn't flattering. My legs are my figure strong point, and this dress certainly didn't show them off. All in all, if you have a bigger chest and smaller lower body, this dress probably isn't for you. Would work better for someone with a smaller bust and bigger hips.

Really nice body con dress! I will say though if you carry a little bit of extra weight in the tummy this dress will definitely make it show. I like how it made my lower body look curvier than it really is, I’m more of an inverted triangle shape! It’s a bit long since I’m 5 5, it would definitely be an issue if I was shorter than that

This is a beautiful, well made dress. It is nicely lined and even has non-slip straps. Fabric is very nice. I would suggest ordering a size larger than your normal size. This dress was ordered for my daughter who is 5’8, 120 lbs. She usually wears a small. We had to exchange for a medium. Thankfully, Nordstrom’s returns are quick and easy.
