Nk break-in period—yaay
I thought long and hard before ordering this shoe. I loved the style, but was worried about the painful break-in period on Doc Martens that I had heard and read so much about. I am so happy I decided to bite the bullet and buy the shoes! ! The patent material is unique and takes this combat boot to another level. I like the taller shaft. Initially, getting my foot in was uncomfortable because of the construction of the tongue. I’ve gotten used to it now, so it’s no longer a problem. The zipper on the side makes it easy to get the boot on and off. The wider toe box and the flat heel make the shoe very comfortable to wear. More importantly, no break-in period. I was able to use them straight off the box!

the seam across the foot!!
These are beyond perfect and I loved them and really gave them a chance but there is a seam that goes across your foot and it does not stretch! It left a dent on my foot after just 5mins of trying it on. I tried different times of the day thinking it was me but after seeing other reviews, others have the same problem. If they can fix that then I’m getting the updated version.

the seam across the foot!!
These are beyond perfect and I loved them and really gave them a chance but there is a seam that goes across your foot and it does not stretch! It left a dent on my foot after just 5mins of trying it on. I tried different times of the day thinking it was me but after seeing other reviews, others have the same problem. best combat boots ever!
After purchasing about 10 other high-end designer brand combat boots I decided to try something less expensive because I wasn’t finding what I was looking for the most in a combat boots, comfort and style and and I’m glad I did! This boots is sooo comfy and soft! Love love it. You wouldn’t regret the purchase. Just get it in Virginia leather!

Not bad, not great
I bought this in the softer Virginia leather, which is almost cloth like in its texture. I normally wear a 6.5 in US women’s, and the 7 was too big. Decided to go with the matte leather option instead in size 6 women’s - still breaking them in, but they seem more durable and better fitting so far.

Confused?
I own the pascal dr martens, but looking at these 1490, the video has the lady talking about a patent leather boot, but the picture shows different. So is the 1490 patent leather, I havent worn patent leather since I was a child
