Delaney Water Resistant Boot (Women)

I am normally a 9 and have a wide, flat foot. I got these in a 9.5 because that was all that was left at the store. BUT, I am glad I got them a half size big. The width is perfect and I am wearing thick socks with them because of the cold. I am also wearing thick socks to cushion the spot where these hit my ankle/lower calf. Maybe over time they will soften there, but they rub a lot right now and it would be uncomfortable without the sock as a cushion. I also put in a thin insole to add a little padding. And now they are perfect! I know that sounds like a lot of modifications, but I tried on many black Chelsea boots at various stores and these turned out to be the winners, with a few adjustments. I like the almond-shaped toe (not too rounded or too pointy), and the thick soles that keep me out of the winter slush. A good value for the price, especially since they are water resistant.
