Dakota Medium Neoprene Backpack

I’ve been carrying this backpack for the last 4+ years on trips. On a most recent adventure, we went ATVing through crazy dusty mountain terrain and my black backpack was covered in dust it may as well have been the Camel color they sell! When we got back to the hotel I wiped it down with baby wipes and it was good as new! This bag holds a ton of stuff and all of the pockets are so helpful. Agreed that the water bottle pockets could be larger and stretchier but the ease, convenience and style of this bag overall makes it absolutely worth the purchase. I haven’t had the issue with zippers clanking as others have said. As for creasing- It’s a neoprene backpack; if it’s full it won’t crease.

This is a cute looking bag and is decently made but it sucks as a backpack. Make a list of all of the things an ideal backpack would be (besides look good) and this product would probably fail every single thing. 1. The material (neoprene/wetsuit) is awful. It creases easily and is challenging to smooth out. 2. Heavy empty. 3. The material gets very hot against your body and retains heat extremely well - it will absolutely make your back sweat *a lot*. I was carrying a laptop and my back got so hot I thought the battery was overheating; turns out the laptop was turned off but the bag locks in heat so well it felt like I was carrying a heating pad. 3. The material will soak up your sweat on the back and straps and it doesn't dry quickly. This is gross, especially since the bag is not easy to clean. 4. Holds a lot less than you would hope/expect and the pockets - both on the exterior sides and one interior side - are just a smidge too small to effectively carry a water bottle. Highly discourage purchasing - wish I could return mine :(
