Isabella Cotton Eyelet Maxi Shirtdress

Great fit, great colors, great quality--it even has pockets that don't make you look fat! I absolutely loved this dress. I bought it in two colors and felt so glamourous trying it on at home...until I noticed the embroidery design was sideways as I hung it up. I felt like it was a hurricane dress instead of a palm tree dress. I still loved everything else about the dress so much I didn't say anything and asked one of my best friends what she thought: it turned into a Rorschach test because she saw something worse than a hurricane... so back it goes. I'm hoping they will make this exact dress again next season in the same cut and colors but run the fabric so the palm trees are vertical or, even better, use a non-directional design. I would certainly buy it again in multiple colors if the fabric ran in the correct direction.

So cute that I had to create a new word! The orange isn’t like a pumpkin but more vibrant and warm like a tangerine. The fabric and lining give the dress a great deal of depth and a luxurious feel. It molds well to the body. A great medium between dress up and dress down. I personally find it to be weather adaptable. Fall with boots or spring with sandals. Either way it works!

I purchased the orange and loved this dress until I realized the lining like to creep up and everyone in a room of 70 guests got to see my super cute black grannies panties though the eyelets. I'm not sure if the slip can be tacked down all the way around the back to avoid this happening every time you sit down, but I'll probably just return it because I'm slightly traumatized, lol. For sizing, I think it runs large but the belt helped it look more flattering - I am 5'8 and 188 lbs and bought the XL based on the sizing, but could have down a large.
