Leather Moto Jacket

I am deeply sorry to report that this jacket was an epic disappointment. The leather looks SO CHEAP. Fake even. I watched the Nordstrom video very closely of this jacket and was truly impressed and looking forward to wearing this jacket for its simplicity and timeless design. They did get the hardware right with more of a gunmetal finish. I can't stand loud hardware on a leather jacket. This was a selling point to me. If Nordstrom can find a new supplier with a better leather source (lamb's leather preferred), customers would likely be willing to pay the $299 asking price. Sadly, this jacket is going straight back.

I like the simplicity and comfort of this jacket, however after receiving it, it doesn't feel worth the full price of $300. The leather is very distressed, not buttery like I had hoped. It also makes the jacket look very casual. I also don't love the fabric knit panels on the sides and don't understand the point. It feels like an excuse for the manufacturer to use less leather during fabrication and save $. I'm ordering another leather jacket from a different company then will decide which to keep. If this jacket was 50% off, I'd feel differently and would keep it, but I don't think it's worth full-price so will likely return. It's true-to-size, a little on the larger size.
