Shrunken Leather Zip Jacket

Madewell sizing always keeps you guessing and this jacket is no different. Typically a L-XL in Madewell but I could tell this jacket was off when I took it out of the package. It looked like a S-M. Shrunken is one thing. Whatever they did to this jacket is another. Unless you can go up a size (or more realistically two) for an actual shrunken fit, I’d pass on this. Especially if you have shoulders or boobs. It’s pretty but sadly going back.

I’m 5’4/130lbs/36D/narrow hips and the small is perfect. It looks fitted and chic but not too snug. I can easily wear a sweater underneath and I’m not at all restricted. I’d wear the small up to 145, maybe 150 lbs, but get the XS if I were 120 or less.

I got the medium and typically wear a 6-8 depending in designer. 5’2” 124lbs. Fits great. Even tried on w slightly bulky sweater and was doable. Will look great for transitional seasons and is perfect for a white shirt and jeans, or slightly dressier. Soft buttery leather too. Love it!
