French Terry Button-Up Shirt

I have this shirt in navy and cream. It is so soft and comfortable and I love it. I have had them now a few weeks and after washing just once I noticed piling. After a few wears the piling is now covering the shirt. Its really unfortunet because I love the shirts, but after a few weeks they look years old.

I bought this in the Pink Timber and expected a softer pink, but when it arrived it was more lilac-pink. Not really the color I was wanting but I could've made it work. Size-wise it seemed like it was a bit tight around the chest, but I often have that problem with button-up blouses. I ordered a medium to make sure I wouldn't have the button-gap but as I stretched my arms during try-on, one of the buttons popped open. That's a no-go. This is a pretty substantial fabric with some weight to it, so it really could be used more like a casual jacket, but on me it kind of flared out at the hips and that's an area I'm not trying to accentuate. For my petite curvy frame this wasn't flattering so I'm returning.

I'm a big fan of Frank & Eileen & this looks very similar, for a fraction of the cost. I picked up this during the anniversary sale. I am a M & sometimes a large & found this ran TTS (broad shoulders/34DD). It is very soft in a rich dark navy. It washes well & I hung to dry after a 10 min dryer (to get the wrinkles out). While this is not 100% cotton (like the F&E), it is a higher cotton blend & feels good on the skin. The top can be worn as a top or a shirt jacket over a tee or tank. A great travel or weekend piece. I got the pants too for a stylish look.
