Play Mat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I initially loved the idea of this Boppy Play Mat, the color matched my furniture, easy to clean with removable toss in washer cover. Seemed to check all the boxes off. Unfortunately my almost 5 month son rolled his head off the mat striking his head on the floor, while his body remained on the mat. I know he could have hit his head from being directly on the floor. I felt the Boppy Play Mat's one in half inch thickness attributed to his pain. If you are able to dedicate 100 percent of your time to sitting on the floor with your baby or using only for 0 to 3 months this would be a great mat. I wouldn't trust it even for a restroom break. Potentially could be used as nap mat when baby is older. I didn't find the Boppy Platmat to be ,travel friendly, when folded in half took up a good amount of room in my limited on trunk space. It is easy to transport from room to room. I ultimately ended up putting it in my 6 year olds room as a cushion for her reading tent. Maybe I'll revisit using it for my son later but for now, its a no.
