Strapless Smocked Dress

Beautiful dress, light and flowy fabric. Fits true to size. The label says hand wash, line dry. I did just that and the color bleeds everywhere. The white is gone it is now a lighter blue like the one in the bottom. Initially the dark blue faded in, I managed to get that out and then the light blue happened. What a headache! My hands were indigo blue .

This dress is lovely, but the color bleed is really bad. I wore it one day on vacation and noticed in the shower my washcloth turned blue. When I got home I soaked the top portion in cold, salted water, so the color wouldn’t bleed to the rest of the dress. After changing the water many times, I put it in the washer with 3 color catcher sheets. Then I realized I hadn’t soaked the bottom! It bleed terribly, but the color catcher sheets caught it and the rest of the dress wasn’t affected. It’s still pretty, but the color on top is not as deep.
