One-Shoulder Foil Flower Gown

I bought this in blue and wore it with confidence to 2 events. It looked so much better than the other gowns I tried on, giving me a smooth profile. The slit was not a problem as the fabric is heavy, but you could always use a bit of fashion tape if it worries you. I usually wear an 8 and I wore this in 10.

It’s a very pretty dress from afar, but there were many loose threads/stitching that it looked worn and less stunning up close. But the main reason for the poor rating - there is a slit (almost like a wrap-style dress) that extends all the way up to the waistband with no liner or anything underneath! I’d be worried that I’d be one small twirl or tiny breeze away from full frontal exposure. Not practical for any event where you’re moving around, that’s for sure. It’s listed nowhere in the description, and none of the pictures show it either. Very disappointing surprise.

There is no doubt that the dress is beautiful. I tried it on at Macy’s and then ordered it through Nordstrom. It arrived, and I didn’t even have to steam it. And while the dress is beautiful, be prepared to change out the zipper. What a nightmare! The zipper needs to be redesigned. You cannot remove the padding in the built-in bra. I still love this dress, but if I had more time, I would probably buy a different dress for the wedding that I’m going to and keep this one for when I have more time to change out the zipper.
