Smocked Bodice Chambray Midi Dress

The color and fit was as described. I particularly liked the chest area because it was smocked. There was plenty of wiggle room for the breast. Usually with this type of cut, tops tend to look too straight and are usually too tight. I am also pregnant, so it fits, doesn't look too bad on a belly because there's enough room, and I could wear this postpartum as well. It's lightweight so it feels refreshing in the heat.

The smocked bodice is flattering and I’m wearing the dress with an array of T-shirts and tops to jazz up the basic chambray (jeans) material. Adding a cute and comfy top solves the shape of the bodice cut and the whimsical idea of smocking chambray. I like the feel of softer material, and this isn’t a fabric to be braless under. The adjustable straps have two button settings. Overall, it runs long, I’m 5’6”, and its skirt hangs close to my ankles. I don’t mind the length, and I can see it could be easily shortened and still be a good look. The dress is well-made with two deep pockets and a small ruffled finish that defines the dropped hip line to look curvy. I really like this brand Avec Les Filles, I’ve noticed it before, and this is the first time I’ve bought.
