Cheap sole
These boots are beautiful and comfortable BUT the soles are cheap. As expensive as these boots are they should have a much better sole. It's only the slick leather bottoms! Ariat has some higher quality soles on a lot of their cheaper boots! This needs to be changed. I bought the boots, had to take them to a boot cobbler to have non-sked soles put on!

Pretty Boots
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the boots but I am still in the breaking in period. I bought them to dance in so I can't wear them for very long before I start getting blisters. Hopefully as I wear them they will start softening up. Right now they are really stiff

The Cate boot can be dressed up or dressed down, worn with jeans, shorts, skirts or dresses, so it should be a staple in your closet. The side zipper allows for an easy on and off, especially if you have high arches like I do! The tonal stitching is an elegant addition to a classy leather boot. If you catch me out, you’ll probably catch me in my Cates!

Just what I was looking for
I looked and looked for a rough out boot like I wore as a teen and young adult. I do not recall any women’s boots so we had to buy men’s. The regular cowboy boots worked perfectly. I even showed dairy cows in mine. The Cate X toe boots are slightly different but as close as I could find to what I used to wear. Thank you ARIAT. I can always count on ARIAT BOOTS. They are my favorite brand!!!
