Anthem Shortie II Waterproof Boot (Women)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found these to be a perfect fit with my everyday socks on. I think with winter weight socks, they will be tight to get on and wear, however I have the next size up that requires me to wear bulky socks so I’m covered. The toe box (I got regular B) is squared enough to comfortably fit my almost wide feet. They clean off easily. Leather holds up against dirt but these have an additional membrane that makes it waterproof without making your feet sweat. I know the tops are large to accommodate pants legs but I found that one side at the top rubs against my leg uncomfortably when I wear crops or shorts. Not a deal breaker by any means because the leather uppers can be molded to my needs. I do like that they are lightweight so I don’t feel like I am clumping along. It is also the correct heel height for riding.

I waited a year to order this pair — this is my second pair of Anthem Shortie 8C boots I’ve purchased in the past few months. I’ve worn the Anthem Shortie 8C for years, and they’ve always been the most comfortable boots I’ve ever owned. However, the last two pairs do not feel like a true wide fit. The first pair caused pain in my foot and back, and the replacement pair felt exactly the same. It seems the sizing or fit may have changed from previous versions.
