Rruns two sizes too small

I am in between M and L in dresses depending on the brand and this one was way too small in XL, like a solid Medium. Other than that, dress was cute and fabric is not to see through if you choose nude undergarments. Also, the belt is not that good, better replace it with your own. It is short… but i liked that. I am 5.4 and 172 lbs 38D
