What it does: The formula is cushioned, comfortable on your lips and provides a smoothing lip finish.
How to use: Using the point of the wand, trace the Cupid's bow to the center of lips. Shape and outline edges. Gently swipe flat paddle edge of wand across lips in one smooth gesture for full-pigment, true-matte, soft focus color.

Super drying and the color is way off!
Disappointing – super drying and the color is way off
I was really excited to try this Anastasia lipstick after seeing the beautiful swatches online, but it was a big letdown. The formula is extremely matte — like, painfully drying. Within an hour my lips felt tight, flaky, and uncomfortable. I had to reapply lip balm underneath just to make it wearable, which defeats the purpose of a long-wear matte lipstick.
Even worse, the color in real life is nothing like the picture. It pulled much warmer/orange-toned on me than the cool, vibrant shade shown online. It looked completely different from what I expected and didn’t flatter my skin tone at all.
For the price, I expected better performance and accuracy in the photos. Sadly, I won’t be repurchasing.

My go to lip look
I’ve been wearing lip velvet for a few months. It’s been really good for staying in place. It doesn’t migrate into the corners of my mouth like lipstick has started doing on me. It’s very lightweight and has a fluffy mousse texture. It lasts a long time. It’s dry and matte so I put a small amount of lip gloss on top of it. That’s the perfect combo for me. That gives me a little shine and it’s not as dry that way.

Lip velvet pomegranate
I bought this lipstick in search of the perfect red for my collection, surprisingly I feel I have found this with the Lip Velvet Pomegranate in line with my undertone. Lovely finish and feel on the lips but sadly the stay power is not great.
