How to Use: Twist the bottom of the concealer pen to unlock and click half-way to spot-conceal or all the way for all-over coverage. Using MAC's 171 Smooth Edge All-Over Face Brush (sold separately) or your fingertips, blend the product into skin. Twist the bottom again to lock and snap the lid onto the pen.

Non drying, medium coverage
To release the concealer from the bottle, just to use a little… it bursts out and goes everywhere. So much product is wasted because it’s the only way to get the make up out of the container.
For $40 it should have an easier less wasteful way but I realize this is a novel approach.

Good coverage but bad smell
I really like this product as far as giving me the coverage that I need. I have hyperpigmentation spotting on my face, and this is effective for hiding them. The unfortunate part of this foundation is that I hate the smell! I have never had a product that I detested the smell of so much. However, since MAC discontinued my old foundation, I will stick this one since the smell does go away after some time. I just reordered and I hope this 2nd pen smell better.

Not suitable for oily
I loved the shades, the consistency of the product but it would cling to my oily areas and sit separated on those areas

horrible applicator
Definitely a devotee of studio fix line for years. I was looking for a new concealer- i used to have the studio fix stick. This is a ton of packaging that feels very wasteful, but i was hopeful that it would apply a precision dot of makeup where i needed it. Nope, it blurps out the end and it really just feels like a foundation dispenser rather than a spot applicator. Also, this product is the same liquid consistency as the foundation, so it's not as good for spots as prior concealers. why not just dab foundation on with your finger or a brush if you are going to make an expensive product in too much packaging? bring back the thin smudge stick variety that actually sticks on blemishes and spot-applies
