Winston Wingtip Derby (Men)

I bought a pair of shoes from the same company before, and they had a much better presentation than these more expensive ones. This pair came without a box—just placed inside a Nordstrom fabric bag. That made me feel like the company doesn’t care about their higher-end products. When I asked for the box, the employee told me the shoes arrived without one. I mentioned that I had purchased several pairs in the past, and he replied, “He shipped several shoes in the past.” It was a very unprofessional response. I don’t understand how Nordstrom can sell such expensive products while showing so little attention to detail or customer care.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to love this shoe based on the pics online, but it fell a little short for me. The leather is a little softer than typical AEs; not altogether bad, but I felt like this shoe was somewhere between a sturdy English-style derby and a sleeker Italian-style shoe while not quite hitting either style. I’m also not sure about the lack of any insole padding (it’s an unpadded leather liner). I realize this would probably break in over time but the lack of any cushioning wasn’t right for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the look, it’s hard to find wingtips with out the design on the toe. First time buyer of Allen Edmonds and was concerned about size. Used the print off chart to confirm size and ordered the same as I have for my Thursday boots. The fit was tight at first and worried me but after a short brake in they are the most comfortable shoes I have. The quality is good, these definitely have an edge over Thursday Boots shoes. You can feel and see the quality difference
