Dallas Roper Low Croc Embossed Western Boot (Men)

Found these at the shoe bank and I liked the styling and look. I see a lot of comments about difficulity getting them on - the boot shaft too tight etc. I agree. Don't give up. Buy a shoe horn and wear the boots for a while. After about 10 days of wearing them your heel with slide in the top of the boot and a gentle tug will land your foot in place on the shoe bed.. I'm wearing the same size as other AE shoes I own. This is my fifth pair of AE shoes and I've received more compliments and questions about these than all the other pairs combined. I have to wear black shoes as part of a work uniform and these have really plussed up the look compared to a cap toe

I received these yesterday. I wore them today. God, are they comfortable. They are also BIG. I am a 13 EEE. I own over 20 pair of Allen Edmond shoes. These boots are just as comfortable, well constructed, fit awesome like my other shoes. Exactly what I expect from an Allen Edmond shoe. They look great!! I got three compliments too!!!

This is a cowboy style boot that basically looks like a dressy chelsea. As other reviews mentioned, very challenging putting the boot on but once on fits very form fitting and very comfortable. Most AE shoes/boots I own are sized 11.5D. Higgin Mills, Landon and Pattons I wear in this size. Liverpool and Denali boots, I wear a 12D, the same size I needed for these boots. As mentioned, the opening is very narrow and tough to slip on. If you have a high instep or high volume feet, don't think these boots will work for you unless the EEE width has more space in the opening. I measure 12D close to E width on the Brannock but feel the EEE width would have been too wide as these boots fit perfectly once I'm able to get them on. I suspect the high quality soft leather will loosen up once I begin wearing them. Would have rated 5 stars if easier to put on. QC was very good on these boots.
