More barrel-ed than the photo shows
Wanted to love these based on the photos but don't. Really bummed! They are just way more barreled than the photos suggest. I'm 5'7 athletic build 145lbs and ordered a size 27. They fit true to size but just weren't flattering and too barreled for what i'm looking for. still searching for the perfect jean.

Is AG back??
15 years ago there was not a pair of AG's I didn't love. They were my go-to brand. They had the BEST washes with the aged denim and nice heavy weight denim that was soft but not thin. for the last decade+ the brand seemed to lose it life, everything was all lycra, super thin and just ugly colors. Everything looked cheap, even the stitching had taken on a lower end look. I have looked twice at the brand in many years, until two weeks ago when I stumbled upon these in the store. A nice heavier denim that felt like jeans. Finally denim that felt like denim!! The uncuffed length is a tall girls dream - I went with my standard 27 (I am probably more accurately a 26 in just about everything but I prefer a lower slung looser fit). Anyhow, these, size 27 uncuffed drag on the ground (I am 5'10). It's a miracle. They ride lower on my hips than they are designed to ride but I love that look. The wash is nice worn medium blue. I have no complaints aside from the fact that $275 is STUPID for jeans. I got them on sale and if they go half off I would buy more. I also bought the lighter wash. Both washes fit the same. IN LOVE.

The Mercer jean is same high quality as expected from this brand. Very flattering, comfortable and versatile. I purchased my normal 27, same as my other pairs and it does run a little bigger. Not so much to try smaller size, I will wash in hot water to possibly shrink a bit. Still pleased with my purchase.
