Tweed Sheath Dress

The material and quality is great. But it’s only for a banana/inverted-triangle body type. I got my usual size. I’m skinnier than average, with an hourglass figure. The dress was okay around the chest area, absolutely drowning at the waist and most of the torso, and then so tight at the hips… forget sitting down. I don’t even have that much of a bum. The only place this fit me perfectly is around shoulders — which was nice because not all sleeved clothing get that right. I really wanted it and was looking forward to building a collection of similar dresses from the designer but I guess not.

I fell in love with the dress at first. It is beautiful, heavy, real wool blend and lined with soft cotton inside. Feel like I work in big corp kinda vibe lol. I particularly appreciate that the dress is NOT button-up, which means the dress zips from the back, and the bottons are for decoration. Other people might disagree, but for a girl with a bigger chest(34DDD, wearing a medium), it could be a nightmare if the buttons are functional. The reason why I give it 2 stars is due to the poor craftsmanship and quality control. When trying it on in-store, I noticed a few loose threads and yarn under the armpit area. Not the end of the world, but would appreciate a dress without it. The person helping me then ordered a brand new dress for me. Unfortunetely, it is even WORSE than the first dress. All the threads are loose on both sides , and there is a long loose strain near the zipper. Big disappointment!!! If it is already falling apart brand new, I don't think it will last for a while. So sad because it is cute!
