What it does: Think ink. Tatouage Couture gives your lips matte, tattoo-like color that is lightweight and nondrying, making the formula ultra-comfortable to wear. Its high-pigment color dries instantly, stays fresh and moves with your lips for eight hours of wear. Its exclusive liner-like applicator allows you to precisely outline your lips as well as fill them in with color for perfect definition every time. It never feathers or spills over the lip line.
How to use: Use the high point of the applicator tip to line your lips with a thin layer of Tatouage Couture, just like you would a pencil. Then, turn it on its side to brush the ultra-thin matte formula onto your lips.

Don’t get the hype
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t understand where all these great reviews came from on the lipstick. I ordered the Red Tribe. It is not very pigmented and does not last. I was so excited because of others reviews but it’s one of the worst liquid lipsticks I’ve owned. I’m actually taking it back.

This is a lip stain. Color is vivid and beautiful. This is my second buy since pandemic. It does not stain on the mask. I still wear mask when around the place are full of people but no worry when I takes off because it does not messed up my lips.

This color is phenomenal! The lovely sales associates at the YSL Beauty counter helped me select this color to wearing on my wedding day. It was a tad brighter than I was expecting but ended up being the perfect shade for my big day. It was bright enough to pop in photographs and keep me from looking washed out. This lip stain is my favorite - it’s long lasting and won’t dry out your lips either. I only had to touch up my lips once over the course of my wedding day!

Halfway perfect
The stain is a gorgeous rich red that also wears off evenly. However the length of this stain isn’t long enough and the color smudges off everything especially all over your mask.

favorite liquid matte lipsticks
I’m a MUA and matte lips but mostly long lasting lip color is a must for makeup application! I can’t say enough good things about this collection. I personally bought all the color for myself cause I love the naked hydration feel of feeling like nothing is on. The applicator wand is amazing with a lil door that holds the color and a slanted side for a precise point for the the Cupid’s bow and corners. So sad to see what’s happening to YSL colors disappearing !!!
