Uptown Hybrid Penny Loafer

This is a beautiful loafer with soft leather (love the suede upper) and great arch support and I love the fact that it is lightweight and easily packed in a suitcase as I travel a fair amount. Unfortunately, it does not work with my foot type: wide toe box and narrow heel. I measure as an 8 1/2 and that's the size I bought, but my toes came to the top without socks. I found the toe box to be narrow as well. I am somewhere between an 8 1/2 and 9. If I were to size up to a 9, it would not work for me, either as my heel definitely wouldn't stay in place. I find it difficult to get the correct fit in Vionic shoes. I would like to see wider toe boxes on their shoes as I have bunions. I do appreciate the arch support and their stylish options, but obviously slip-ons won't work for me. Sadly, I will return them.

I ordered half size smaller than my usual size 8 from experience with this brand. Top of shoes look good. They fit good. But bottom of shoes were dirty. For $80, they should’ve been clean.

I have mixed feelings about this shoe. Like others, my pair did not come in a box, but instead a dust bag and the bottoms of the soles were dirty. Like unacceptable to sell as a new shoe dirty. But, the upper looked okay and the shoe is mostly comfortable - i don’t mean walk for 5 miles comfortable, I mean great to wear to the mall or running errands. As others have mentioned the arch support to too close to the heel, and not the actual arch, which is weird. It seems like Vionic would have a higher standard for this (and my other Vionics don’t have this issue) but that’s probably why the price is 50% off of retail and these are at The Rack. I’m keeping mine BUT would never have paid full price for these and I’m disappointed that The Rack resold an obviously pre worn shoe. Also, sizing is off, consider a 1/2 size down.

I realize that when you buy shoes from the Rack, most of the shoes have no box or the wrong box. However, when you buy shoes from the Rack online, they should put shoes in some sort of box to PROTECT the shoes!!!Imagine getting a pair of shoes stuffed in the mailbox with your regular mail. Shoes had ZERO PROTECTION when mailed (not even wrapped in tissue). They arrived in a clear plastic bag stuffed in a gray plastic mailer. These shoes were crushed and misshaped because USPS just tosses packages around! Honestly, it seemed like old shoes stuffed in a Goodwill box! Rack really needs to address this issue ASAP!!!
