Sadelle Lace-Up Boot (Women)

These were delivered today and, unfortunately, the zipper on the left boot was torn at the seam, which I noticed as soon as I pulled it out of the box. These boots are too expensive for that lack of quality, and waaaay too tall to get on/off via the laces. Also, they make the heels look pre-worn, meaning the heel is not completely flat, it has a lip at the back that mimics the shape of a worn-in boot (see pic). I really wish these were in tact because they are cool. Size 9s with heavier socks on and they’re still a lot of room for my foot, so they’d be easy to wear heavy socks with in winter if they were fully functional. Now the 9s are sold out.

I was on the fence about these boots. The leather is not the best quality, very stiff. Will definitely require being broken in. The fit was OK, they look decent. The deciding factor for me was that when I put the boots on for the very first time out of the box, I looked down at my hands and realized they were covered in black dye. I’m not sure if it was the shoelaces or the actual boots that stained by hands, but it ruined a fresh manicure and took an entire evening of washing my hands to get the dye out. Returned them immediately.

Size runs big, order half size down (I wear 8.5, ordered 8). Several reviews mention dye stains on the lace and insole and these statements are 100% accurate. My hands were all stained trying to tighten the lace. The calf is wide, I have narrow legs so were too big even when I tightened up the lace. The boots came from store called Mezza Luna, PA (not Nordstrom Rack) and the bottom soles have a few scruff marks, the outside leather had faded spots that appeared to have been either worn or badly beaten up. I returned the boots as the overall fit was too big for my legs and the quality wasn't up to par. I have a pair of boots from this same brand which I really love so was a bit disappointed with this.

Horrible! I had to loosen the black laces to adjust for my calf size. The laces were dyed black and all of the dye came off onto my hands as I attempted to unlace and relace them. They were an absolute disaster! It was even difficult to wash off the dye as it got under my fingernails. I returned the boots to the nearest Nordstrom Rack store and they were totally sympathetic. Poor quality control for these boots. I was so disappointed because I loved the retro look of them. There was black dye on the inside of the box, as well, so it should have gotten noticed by someone way before it was shipped to me.
