Washed Cotton Shorts

I read the reviews and ordered both a 2 and a 4 (my usual size in clothes is 4-6) in white. The reviews were right: these shorts are HUGE. The 4 fits large in the waist and, as noted, they are very loose and baggy and long - much too long. I am keeping the size 2 (have not worn a size 2 in YEARS) and I will have them altered in length about 2 inches. This seems like a very expensive short, even on sale; if you include the alterations charge, even more so. However. hoping these will be a summer go-to for a few summers. The cotton twill material is nice, but still sort of see-through - you will definitely have to wear white undies.

These shorts were gorgeous. The color, fabric and texture make the shorts. Light, summer breezy and classic with nice heeled sandals. The waist was extremely comfortable. However, the legs of the shorts at the thigh were too wide. Way too wide. I am 5-7 155 and not in shape. Usually I am a size 10. I sized down to an 8 per comments herein. It was still way too much fabric for width of thighs. It’s a great choice if one has muscular thick thighs. I so loved it other than the wide looking, unflattering thigh material width. One can fold up the legs to shorten a tad and it is still longer. I like longer inseam shorts, not tight but not super wide either like these. The gorgeous fabric appears to be why the $225 piece down to $135. It’s not worth the sale price either given the girth of leg. Model photo is misleading. Maybe she has a size 0 on.
