Vivian Ballet Flat (Women)

When I first tried this on, I thought I hit the jackpot. But luckily I got sent two pairs of these in different sizes and i realized the sides will flare out in an extremely unflattering way over time. I ordered two sizes and Nordstrom sent me both a brand new pair and one that was still new but seemed like it was on display at a store. The ones from the store flared out SO badly and it looked really misshappen all around the foot. There are gaps all around the top of the flat. I then tried on my new pair and saw that it already started doing that - this type of flare out will not mold to my feet over time. The photo here is of the new pair. Sad because the leather is soft.

I have these flats in 2 colors, size 9. My average size is 9 1/2 or 10+ just depends on the design/designer. It is annoying to see that Nordstrom continues to post that a shoe is true to size because the designer/manufacture has advised such, the reviews clearly state something different. This flat is running about a half size larger, however this also depends on the shape of your foot and your preference when you wear flats. The lambskin leather is soft and comfortable, this leather is supposed to be soft, (it is not thin, it is a pliable leather, and it may stretch a tiny bit & will form to the shape of your foot.) It has a nice sole, heel cap cover & a nice heel rubber cover for cushion & support. Due to the simplicity comfort level, I am going to purchase another color!

The shoe was as pictured, a nice rust red color. I just want to say all these reviews claiming the sizing is off, maybe these ladies don't know their shoe size. I am a true 7.5 and sometimes size up to 8. Based on reviews I ordered size 7 and it is snug. At least I could get my foot in and I think the leather will stretch enough that they will become comfortable but I wouldn't have had to do this if I'd gone with the correct size. I will say they are roomy at the heel width wise. Just try your normal size if you know what it really is.

I loved everything about this shoe. The packaging was very thoughtful and it came with a dust bag, which I really appreciate. The red current color is breathtaking. I saw that these ran large, so ordered a 10 (I am usually a 10.5), but I could have easily fit into a 9 in these shoes. If you have a wider foot, maybe go down a half size. But if you can find the right size for you, I think you’ll be extremely happy with these versatile flats.
