Hamden Pointed Toe Slingback Pump

I have always loved the look of slingbacks but fought them from a wearable perspective. The strap on these is just wide enough for comfort and fit while staying on my foot and not constantly slipping off. While the toe is fairly pointed it is acceptable and not painful. I attribute some of the comfort to the wider solid heal that allows for stability and consistent movement while walking which I think helps keep the strap on also. I also like the subtle details in the heel with the metallic strip and the matching metallic decoration on the front. It gives a classy look and adds some fun as well. I would love to give them a 5/5 but that same wide heel that gives such stability also makes me feel like I am a tad “ungraceful” and walk with a little more of a louder or aggressive tone to my step. Definitely not a deal breaker just my opinion.

These shoes are beautiful in Burnt Sugar but they are too big. I wear and ordered a size 7.5 and they were a half inch too big so I have to send them back and order a 7. They look like they are going to be high maintenance to take care of because the color on the suede is already kind of brushing off coming out of the box. But they are so gorgeous that I want them anyways and will just have my shoe repair recolor them down the road.
