Boiled Cashmere Cardigan

This is the second cardigan purchased from Vince this year, in both I sized up. Perfect waist skimming fit. Vince sweaters are heavenly…this is special, so soft. So glad to add cardigans to my winter wardrobe. This will be perfect over a dress for the holidays, or with jeans. Love that I snagged it on a markdown. My new best friend.

Vince’s boiled cashmere is their best cashmere in my opinion. Its fuzziness adds a nice texture that hides imperfections and pilling. So when they came out with a v-neck cardigan I knew I needed one for my work wardrobe. The rose color is SO pretty and versatile, so I snagged it. It would easily be a 5-star cardigan were it not for a sizing issue…I’m a size 12 and almost always take a large in Vince sweaters. This large is very short and pulls around the buttons. The XL fits at least two sizes bigger than the large. It’s much longer and wider, the sleeves are at least 4” longer and pass my fingertips, the plunge of the V is so much lower, and there’s a lot of extra fabric in the body. Basically the large fits like a medium and the XL fits like a 1X. I talked myself into the XL, because the color is so nice, but I may return it as I don’t think it’ll do for work… and it’s too pretty of a cardigan to look shlubby and casual. I can’t speak to other size groups, but if you’re in the 10-14 range this might be a tricky one, as L and XL don’t seem to run true to size.
