The material is thinner and therefore not to heavy. They fit true to size and have ample length to them.

Shrunk after washing one time
Shrunk after washing one time in cold water/delicate cycle and hung to dry. Now they are too tight. Either order a size up or pass on this brand jean. Very disappointed.

Anniversary version runs small
I love Lafayette 148 jeans. I have multiple pairs in the Thompson, Mercer and Sherri styles. I have been wearing them daily for years. However, I am on the fence about this pair. I ordered one size larger than my other jeans because I have gained weight and my previous jeans are a bit tight and not as comfortable. When I tried these on, I was upset. The "larger" size is exactly the same size as the smaller size I want to replace. I notice that the cotton percentage is slightly higher than the other jeans I have in the same style and that may mean there is less stretch. The material also seems to be a bit stiff, but that may change with wash and wear. I am disappointed that I am not able to order online because the brand is not consistent any more. I may return them.

Great for hourglass shapes.
The inseam of this rendition of the jean is 32". I like them so much I bought a second pair. The size 10 is a perfect fit for my 30-31" waist and a bit relaxed at my 41-42" low hip. They are great for hourglass figures because they don't fall off the waist like NYDJ, (I have never found a pair of those that fit for that reason).
